With unrivalled experience and meticulous attention to detail we offer both guided Greenland expeditions and specialist expedition logistics packages for independent travellers. Our Greenland expedition programme covers all the main mountaineering ranges and icecap journeys and crossings. We are the only Greenland expedition specialist offering tours and arctic expeditions to the Watkins Mountains of east Greenland, including ascents of all the highest mountains in the Arctic. We offer regular annual expeditions to Gunnbjornsfjeld (3693m), Dome and Cone, the three highest peaks in the Arctic, as well as private logistics for independent groups.

We are the first company to offer guided snowboard expeditions to the Liverpool Land and Scoresbysund region of northeast Greenland as well as our excellent price busting ski touring and cross country ski expeditions. We were the first company to our offer guided icecap crossings and we have recently added heli skiing and first ski and snowboard descents of virgin summits to our programme. In addition to Greenland we run arctic expeditions to Svalbard, Spitsbergen, Baffin Island, Ellesmere Island and Jan Mayen island.

For over 20 years our main focus has been on opening up new mountain ranges and icecap crossings in east and northeast Greenland. It would be no exaggeration to say that Tangent alone has opened up virtually all the new climbing venues in east Greenland during that period. Our experience is unrivalled.

Using our own privately chartered Twin Otter ski plane it has been possible to reach numerous new peaks, mountain ranges and glaciers that no previous expedition has ever climbed in before. Amongst our selves and our clients we have made close to a thousand first ascents of previously unclimbed peaks, summits and mountains throughout east and northeast Greenland.

Tangent operates an extensive logistics platform in east Greenland, including various aircraft, helicopter, snow mobile and dog sled options, to facilitate access to every conceivable region for the most discerning traveller. This experience has led Tangent to become the primary choice for TV companies wishing to film in and amongst the mountains and glaciers of Greenland. We have worked with many military expeditions and were consultants and expedition organisers for the US Navy LA-9 crash investigation and recovery expedition on the Kronborg Glacier in 2004. In 2009/10 we will co-ordinate the logistics for the follow up expedition to Antarctica to recover the human remains of the servicemen killed in the Thurston Island George 1 disaster.
